A Village Fair

A village fair is a happy and colourful event in a village. It is usually held once or twice a year. It often takes place in an open field or near a market. Many men, women, and children come to the fair and enjoy it very much. There are many small shops and stalls. People sell toys, sweets, clothes, pots, and many other things. Children like the toy shops and small rides most. Some stalls sell food and drinks. There may also be songs, games, and simple shows. A village fair is also a good place for people to meet. Villagers meet their friends and relatives there. They talk, walk around, and buy useful things. The fair usually becomes very busy in the afternoon. Then the whole place is full of colour, sound, and joy. A village fair gives people fun and also helps small sellers earn money. People wait for the fair with great interest. It is an important and enjoyable part of village life.

গ্রামের মেলা গ্রামের একটি আনন্দের ও রঙিন অনুষ্ঠান। সাধারণত বছরে এক বা দুইবার এটি বসে। এটি প্রায়ই খোলা মাঠে বা বাজারের কাছে বসে। অনেক পুরুষ, নারী ও শিশু মেলায় আসে এবং খুব আনন্দ করে। সেখানে অনেক ছোট দোকান ও স্টল থাকে। মানুষ খেলনা, মিষ্টি, কাপড়, হাঁড়ি-পাতিল ও নানা জিনিস বিক্রি করে। শিশুরা খেলনার দোকান ও ছোট রাইড সবচেয়ে বেশি পছন্দ করে। কিছু স্টলে খাবার ও পানীয় বিক্রি হয়। গান, খেলা ও ছোট অনুষ্ঠানও থাকতে পারে। গ্রামের মেলা মানুষের দেখা করারও ভালো জায়গা। গ্রামের মানুষ সেখানে বন্ধু ও আত্মীয়দের সঙ্গে দেখা করে। তারা কথা বলে, ঘোরে এবং দরকারি জিনিস কেনে। বিকেলে মেলা সাধারণত খুব ব্যস্ত হয়ে ওঠে। তখন পুরো জায়গা রং, শব্দ ও আনন্দে ভরে যায়। গ্রামের মেলা মানুষকে আনন্দ দেয় এবং ছোট বিক্রেতাদের আয় করতেও সাহায্য করে। মানুষ আগ্রহ নিয়ে মেলার অপেক্ষা করে। এটি গ্রামীণ জীবনের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও আনন্দের অংশ।

A Village Fair I Have Visited

Last year, I visited a village fair near my home. It was held in a large open field. I went there with my father and a friend. We reached the fair in the afternoon. Many people were already there, and the fair looked very busy and colourful. There were many small shops and stalls. People were selling toys, sweets, clothes, pots, and many other things. I saw many children buying toys and sweets. Some people were eating food at small stalls. There were also games and simple shows. We walked around the fair and looked at many interesting things. I bought a small toy and some sweets. My father bought a few useful things for our home. We also met some people we knew. Everyone looked happy and excited. In the evening, the fair became more crowded. After spending some time there, we came back home. I enjoyed the fair very much. It was a happy and memorable day for me.

গত বছর আমি আমাদের বাড়ির কাছে একটি গ্রামের মেলা দেখতে গিয়েছিলাম। বড় একটি খোলা মাঠে মেলাটি বসেছিল। আমি বাবা ও এক বন্ধুর সঙ্গে সেখানে গিয়েছিলাম। আমরা বিকেলে মেলায় পৌঁছাই। তখন অনেক মানুষ সেখানে ছিল এবং মেলাটি খুব ব্যস্ত ও রঙিন দেখাচ্ছিল। অনেক ছোট দোকান ও স্টল ছিল। মানুষ খেলনা, মিষ্টি, কাপড়, হাঁড়ি-পাতিল ও নানা জিনিস বিক্রি করছিল। আমি অনেক শিশুকে খেলনা ও মিষ্টি কিনতে দেখলাম। কেউ কেউ ছোট খাবারের দোকানে খাচ্ছিল। সেখানে খেলা ও ছোট অনুষ্ঠানও ছিল। আমরা মেলা ঘুরে অনেক মজার জিনিস দেখলাম। আমি একটি ছোট খেলনা ও কিছু মিষ্টি কিনলাম। বাবা বাড়ির জন্য কয়েকটি দরকারি জিনিস কিনলেন। আমরা পরিচিত কিছু মানুষের সঙ্গেও দেখা করলাম। সবাইকে খুশি ও আনন্দিত দেখাচ্ছিল। সন্ধ্যায় মেলায় আরও বেশি ভিড় হলো। কিছু সময় সেখানে কাটিয়ে আমরা বাড়ি ফিরে এলাম। মেলাটি আমি খুব উপভোগ করেছি। দিনটি আমার জন্য আনন্দের ও স্মরণীয় ছিল।
