Activity 1: Describing Animals, Things & People
Here are some words which help us to say something about people, place, animal, birds and things. Write the words in the blank space before the nouns.

Language Note:
We use the words Fat, Brave, Dark, Red and Blue to describe things, animals and people. They are called describing words.
Activity 2: Choosing the Correct Describing Words
Choose the correct describing words to complete each sentence:
- The (blue, angry) sky was clear and sunny.
- She is a (happy, tall) girl with a big smile.
- The (small, brave) fox jumped over the fence.
- He wrote with a (sharp, big) pencil.
- The (fat, young) cat slept on the couch.
Lesson 2 (For Class 6, 7 & 8)
In lesson 1, you have learnt about describing words. These words describe or tell us more about a person, place, animal or thing.
In grammar, such describing words are called adjectives.
