The Boy at the Workshop

One day, a schoolboy was returning home from school. He was sitting in a car with his father. On the way, the car suddenly stopped. His father tried to start it, but the car did not move.

There was a small workshop near the road. His father took the car there for repair. The schoolboy stood near the workshop and looked around.

He saw a boy working there. The boy was almost the same age as him. He was wearing old clothes. His hands were dirty with oil. He was helping the mechanic. He brought tools, cleaned parts, and worked very hard.

The schoolboy was surprised. He asked, “Do you go to school?”

The boy looked at him and said, “No. I do not go to school now. My family is poor. I work here to help my family.”

The schoolboy became quiet. He looked at his own school bag and books. He thought about his school, teachers, and friends. Every day, he could go to school and learn. But this boy had to work all day.

After some time, the mechanic repaired the car. The schoolboy and his father were ready to leave.

Before leaving, the schoolboy went to his father and said, “Father, can we help this boy? He wants to study, but his family is poor.”

His father looked at the boy and said, “Yes, we can try to help him.”

The father talked to the boy and the mechanic. Then he met the boy’s family. He learned about their problems. He decided to pay for the boy’s education.

A few days later, the father took the boy to a nearby school. He bought him books, a school bag, and other things he needed. The boy started going to school.

The schoolboy was very happy to see his new friend in school. The poor boy was happy too. He studied hard and continued to help his family when he had free time.

The schoolboy learned an important lesson that day. A small act of kindness can change another person’s life.

একদিন এক স্কুলছাত্র স্কুল থেকে বাড়ি ফিরছিল। সে তার বাবার সঙ্গে একটি গাড়িতে বসেছিল। পথে হঠাৎ গাড়িটি বন্ধ হয়ে গেল। তার বাবা গাড়িটি চালু করার চেষ্টা করলেন, কিন্তু গাড়িটি চলল না।

রাস্তার পাশে একটি ছোট ওয়ার্কশপ ছিল। তার বাবা গাড়িটি মেরামতের জন্য সেখানে নিয়ে গেলেন। স্কুলছাত্রটি ওয়ার্কশপের পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে চারদিকে তাকাল।

ছেলেটি তার দিকে তাকিয়ে বলল, “না। আমি এখন স্কুলে যাই না। আমার পরিবার গরিব। পরিবারকে সাহায্য করার জন্য আমি এখানে কাজ করি।”

স্কুলছাত্রটি চুপ হয়ে গেল। সে নিজের স্কুলব্যাগ ও বইয়ের দিকে তাকাল। সে তার স্কুল, শিক্ষক ও বন্ধুদের কথা ভাবল। প্রতিদিন সে স্কুলে যেতে ও শিখতে পারে। কিন্তু এই ছেলেটিকে সারাদিন কাজ করতে হয়।

কিছুক্ষণ পর মেকানিক গাড়িটি মেরামত করলেন। স্কুলছাত্রটি ও তার বাবা চলে যাওয়ার জন্য প্রস্তুত হলেন।

চলে যাওয়ার আগে স্কুলছাত্রটি তার বাবার কাছে গিয়ে বলল, “বাবা, আমরা কি এই ছেলেটিকে সাহায্য করতে পারি? সে পড়তে চায়, কিন্তু তার পরিবার গরিব।”

তার বাবা ছেলেটির দিকে তাকিয়ে বললেন, “হ্যাঁ, আমরা তাকে সাহায্য করার চেষ্টা করতে পারি।”

বাবা ছেলেটি ও মেকানিকের সঙ্গে কথা বললেন। তারপর তিনি ছেলেটির পরিবারের সঙ্গে দেখা করলেন। তিনি তাদের সমস্যার কথা জানলেন। তিনি ছেলেটির পড়াশোনার খরচ দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলেন।

কয়েক দিন পর বাবা ছেলেটিকে কাছের একটি স্কুলে নিয়ে গেলেন। তিনি তাকে বই, একটি স্কুলব্যাগ এবং প্রয়োজনীয় অন্যান্য জিনিস কিনে দিলেন। ছেলেটি স্কুলে যাওয়া শুরু করল।

স্কুলছাত্রটি স্কুলে তার নতুন বন্ধুকে দেখে খুব খুশি হলো। গরিব ছেলেটিও খুশি হলো। সে মন দিয়ে পড়াশোনা করত এবং অবসর সময়ে তার পরিবারকেও সাহায্য করত।

সেদিন স্কুলছাত্রটি একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শিক্ষা পেল। একটি ছোট ভালো কাজও অন্য একজন মানুষের জীবন বদলে দিতে পারে।
