A fisherman is a person who catches fish. He usually lives near a river or the sea. He often gets up early in the morning and goes out to catch fish. Sometimes, he works at night. He may stay on the river for the whole night. Sometimes, he works day and night. He uses a boat and a net. Sometimes, he works alone. Sometimes, he works with other fishermen. He spends many hours on the water. He waits and catches different kinds of fish. Then he takes the fish to the market and sells them. He earns money for his family. A fisherman works very hard. He works in the sun, rain, and wind. Sometimes, the weather is bad. Sometimes, he catches only a few fish. But he does not stop working. We get fresh fish because fishermen work hard. Fish is an important food in our country. So, a fisherman is very useful to us. We should respect him and his work.

জেলে এমন একজন মানুষ যিনি মাছ ধরেন। তিনি সাধারণত নদী বা সমুদ্রের কাছে থাকেন। তিনি প্রায়ই খুব সকালে ঘুম থেকে ওঠেন এবং মাছ ধরতে বের হন। কখনো কখনো তিনি রাতেও কাজ করেন। তিনি সারা রাত নদীতে থাকতে পারেন। কখনো তিনি দিন-রাত কাজ করেন। তিনি নৌকা ও জাল ব্যবহার করেন। কখনো তিনি একা কাজ করেন। কখনো তিনি অন্য জেলেদের সঙ্গে কাজ করেন। তিনি পানিতে অনেক সময় কাটান। তিনি অপেক্ষা করেন এবং বিভিন্ন ধরনের মাছ ধরেন। তারপর তিনি মাছ বাজারে নিয়ে যান এবং বিক্রি করেন। তিনি পরিবারের জন্য টাকা আয় করেন। একজন জেলে খুব পরিশ্রম করেন। তিনি রোদ, বৃষ্টি ও বাতাসের মধ্যে কাজ করেন। কখনো আবহাওয়া খারাপ থাকে। কখনো তিনি খুব কম মাছ ধরেন। তবুও তিনি কাজ বন্ধ করেন না। জেলেরা কঠোর পরিশ্রম করেন বলেই আমরা তাজা মাছ পাই। মাছ আমাদের দেশের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ খাবার। তাই একজন জেলে আমাদের জন্য খুবই উপকারী। আমাদের তাকে এবং তার কাজকে সম্মান করা উচিত।
